About the Job
Senior IT Project Manager.
We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead a large-scale enterprise software modernization and implementation initiative. This role requires a hands-on project leader with a proven track record managing complex, multi-year software implementation, upgrade, or conversion projects using Waterfall SDLC methodologies. The ideal candidate will drive project execution across IT teams, vendors, and business stakeholders, manage risks and dependencies, maintain resource-loaded project plans, and ensure successful delivery from initiation through implementation and closeout.
Candidates should have experience leading large, enterprise-wide technology projects involving third-party vendors, system integrations, and organizational change. Strong skills in stakeholder management, executive communication, issue resolution, vendor accountability, and decision facilitation are essential. GIS project experience is a plus, but candidates with successful experience delivering complex enterprise software implementations or conversions will also be considered.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of IT Project Management experience (10+ preferred).
- Proven success delivering large-scale software implementation or conversion projects.
- Strong Waterfall SDLC, risk management, scope management, and executive reporting experience.
- Experience managing vendors, consulting partners, and cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project.
- Ability to work independently, drive accountability, and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Work in Central Time Zone business hours.
