- This is a hybrid role in Madison, WI requiring 2-3 days a week on site.
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Program Manager (SAFe Agile) to lead the delivery of complex, multi-year programs across business, IT, and third-party teams. In this critical role, you will act as the primary point of contact for project status, financial forecasts, and stakeholder management. Operating with strong business acumen specifically within IT and insurance environments you will drive project execution, mitigate risks, manage third-party dependencies, and ensure all defined business outcomes and financial targets are successfully achieved.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and professional work experience.
- At least 7 years of relevant experience delivering and managing complex, multi-year programs.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams (business, IT, and third-party partners) to deliver people, process, and technology solutions.
- Strong financial management discipline, including business case development, cost estimation, budget tracking, monthly forecasting, and managing project interdependencies.
- Demonstrated expertise in maintaining project schedules, managing critical path dependencies, and accurately forecasting resource needs.
- Excellent communication, influence, and stakeholder management skills across all organizational levels.
Preferred Knowledge & Skills:
- Expert knowledge of project management methodologies, SAFe Agile frameworks, techniques, and tools.
- Thorough understanding of business drivers and factors driving change within the IT and insurance industries.
- Working knowledge of information technology environments, solutions, plans, strategies, and the systems development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Ability to conduct current-state vs. future-state gap analyses and translate improvement opportunities into tangible deliverables.
